She began as a public-school teacher and administrator, serving in rural, suburban, and urban areas. After earning her PhD, she transitioned to higher education, ascending to the roles of Professor and Dean.

Throughout her academic career, Bonnie authored or co-authored numerous professional publications and technical reports. Her work extended to research, student outcomes, educational, and performance grants, where she contributed as an author and collaborator. She has presented at local, regional, national, and international levels, sharing her expertise with fellow educators.

A core dimension of Bonnie's work has been addressing individual wellness and the challenges of societal integration. This focus led her to engage in political activism, where she worked on voter registration and lobbied for women's health and family issues both in Connecticut and nationally.

Bonnie's approach to education and research has consistently been data-driven, informing curriculum design and outcomes. Her expertise has been sought after in various capacities: as a professional reviewer providing feedback to authors, as an accreditation evaluator at state and national levels, and as a performance evaluator for the State and school districts. She has also consulted with schools and universities, sharing her wealth of knowledge.

Now, Bonnie embarks on a new journey as she ventures into the world of Historical Fiction with her debut novel.

Nathaniel Brendan Rabe (July 7, 1980 - August 10, 2023)

Although I have published professionally, this is my first work in the historical fiction genre.

Short hair now, as I am still recovering!

Please reflect on my novel and, if so moved, give me honest feedback!

Professor and Dean!

Author!

I started writing during COVID but became ill. After two years of misdiagnoses during which I became catatonic, I was finally diagnosed with Seronegative Autoimmune Encephalitis triggered by Uterine Cancer.

As I began to heal, learning to walk, talk, balance, and read, I continued writing. Writing became therapy for me.

The book was published on the one year anniversary of my son, Butch’s, passing.

Survivor!
